Come join us for Frances Tan Si Min’s debut album release concert — a heartfelt and unforgettable evening celebrating the launch of her debut album, I AM FRANCES, ahead of its worldwide release in June 2026. Taking place on 31 May 2026, the final day of public voting for the Commonwealth Song Contest 2026, this special concert is more than just a music event. It is a celebration of dreams, storytelling, courage, and Singaporean music.
Frances Tan Si Min is a 25-year-old Singaporean singer-songwriter who recently graduated with a Masters degree in Songwriting from New York University after completing her undergraduate degree in Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Growing up, Frances always loved music and developed a passion for songwriting at a young age. However, she kept this dream hidden for many years, as more conventional career pathways were often encouraged instead. Her love for writing and storytelling led her to pursue a law degree at the London School of Economics and Political Science but in her final year of law school, Frances realized that the little voice inside that dreamed of pursuing music one day was still there after many years passed, and it was not going anywhere.
Her debut album “I AM FRANCES”, set to be released in June 2026 takes listeners on her personal journey, sharing her internal thoughts and reflections as she made the decision to pursue songwriting at New York University after graduating with a law degree. Frances hopes that her songs will inspire listeners to embrace their unique giftings and talents and follow the path they were created for, even if it may look unconventional. She believes this is what life is for — to discover your passion, follow it, and find your destiny.
Audiences can expect an intimate and memorable evening filled with original songs, emotional live performances and personal stories behind the music.

In 2025, she was honoured as SG100 Foundation’s Youth Ambassador and B.O.L.D. Award recipient after performing her original tribute song, ‘Ride into the Sun’, at the ‘Lest We Forget’ event commemorating the 10th anniversary of the passing of the late Lee Kuan Yew and Singapore’s founding generation, in the presence of former President Halimah Yacob as part of SG60 celebrations. Frances wrote the song in thanksgiving for Singapore’s founding generation, whose resilience and vision brought Singapore from third world to first in just a few short decades. Through the song, she hopes to inspire younger generations of Singaporeans to continue building an even better Singapore for generations to come.
Since then, Frances has been invited by schools and Members of Parliament across Singapore to perform ‘Ride into the Sun’ at various SG60 events celebrating Singapore’s 60th year of independence. The song’s music video has been played at over 20 schools around Singapore as part of their NDP Celebrations 2025. The song has also been played on 987FM, UFM 100.3, and screened on malls all around Singapore like Shaw Theatres Lido, Balestier, Jewel and Our Tampines Hub.
